About
Recording Pandemic Experiences
On the fifth anniversary of the WHO declaring COVID-19 a global pandemic, we as a community at Butler realize how important it is to reflect on and record our memories of living through these uncertain times. As a small liberal arts college within a major city in the Midwest, we as Butler Bulldogs have unique stories to tell - from the experiences that happened on campus or from our time as high school students living at home. These experiences have shaped us as people, and shaped the community on campus.
Join us as we document these experiences. This project was inspired by countless other university initiatives to record and create pandemic archives at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. We also want to better represent the diverse stories, perspectives, voices, and people that attend, work, or teach at Butler in the Butler University Special Collections, Rare Books, and University Archives.
Whose voices do we want to collect?
We would love contributions from students, alums, faculty, staff, or community members of the university!
