Abstract

This perspective article examines neurodiversity in medical education through a combination of lived experience and literature review. It highlights barriers related to disclosure, accommodations, technical standards, and institutional culture while emphasizing the strengths neurodivergent learners bring to medicine. The authors advocate for clearer accommodation processes, earlier support, greater representation, and broader use of inclusive educational approaches such as Universal Design for Learning.
