Abstract

This article explores the history, growth, and community impact of the Near West Free Clinic in Indianapolis, a student-supported clinic founded to expand access to healthcare for underserved patients. Through the perspective of Kevin Bogenshutz, PA-C, the article highlights the clinic’s commitment to compassionate patient care, interprofessional education, student mentorship, and building trust within the community while preparing future healthcare professionals through meaningful clinical experiences.
