Abstract

Set in Spain at the end of the Napoleonic Wars, this story follows an aristocrat's restless boy who meets a peculiar playwright with revolutionary ideas. The bewilderment of the boy encapsulates the people of Galicia, caught in the crosshairs between the forces of France and Spain, which translates to modern people who yearn for an unobtainable difference while trapped by throes of political forces.
