The Feud

Abstract

In an alternate America, settled south to north by African and Andalusian Muslims, the Wild West is a no-man's land between Dar ul-Islam and more recent European settlements. But the Muslims powers are not as united as they should be, and Old World enmities still simmer beneath the surface. Rami and Haydar should be fighting side-by-side against the Spaniards, but the rivalry between their Qaysi and Yemeni clans runs so deep they find themselves facing off on the field of honor time and again, across decades of war and peace on the volatile frontier.
